David Boxford presented with leaving gift on his last service at Crosscrake before moving home

Crosscrake Church regular David Boxford attended his final Sunday service at Crosscrake on 12th September, before moving to a new home in East Devon.

David has been a key figure in Crosscrake Church life for many years and has lived in the parish since 1970. He has been instrumental in the church choir since 1980 and went on to be choir leader. In recent years he has worked alongside organist Mike Critchlow in choosing music for services and special occasions, rallying extra singing talent for special services.

A kind and much loved member of the congregation, his cheery disposition, enthusiasm and encouragement to others, particular those in the choir, will be very much missed.

Rev. Terry Wilcock presented David with a leaving gift from everyone at Crosscrake at the end of the service and David made a wonderful speech in his usual thoughtful and articulate manner.

Everyone at Crosscrake sends David and Suzanne the very best wishes in their new home and life in Devon.
